Calgary philanthropist David Bissett has generously supported the Bissett Bursary, covering full tuition for recent high school graduates who demonstrate financial need and an interest in continuing their education at SAIT.
The Bissett Bursary program covers tuition and mandatory fees for recipients while they attend SAIT (including Universal Transit Pass, Student Association and SAIT Athletics memberships, and Student Health and Dental Coverage).
Once approved for the Bissett Bursary, SAIT will connect recipients with academic coaches and mentors who will support their academic success. Students' progress is monitored throughout the duration of their program.
Students are chosen for the program based on:
Students must have recently completed a high school diploma, be an Alberta resident and Canadian citizen, and have applied to a SAIT program.

Applications are assessed as received. Recipients are notified 4-6 weeks after SAIT receives the application. To be considered for the Fall 2023 intake, applications must be received before July 31, 2023. Applications received after this date will be considered for the Winter 2024 intake and beyond.
