SAIT is introducing exemptions to allow students who will not have access to the resources the opportunity to opt out of UPass and campus recreation fees. To be eligible for an exemption:

• Campus recreation: all your courses are fully online and you reside 100 km or farther from main campus.
• Upass: you are enrolled in 9 credits or more per semester and all your courses are fully online.
• Please note the following important information: 
  • According to the City of Calgary's UPass contract, you cannot opt-out of the UPass fee if you qualify for a low-income bus pass.
  • Exemptions to both fees continue to be available for students with a physical/mobility or other valid disability-related concern. You must be registered with Accessibility Services and/or have a Calgary Transit Access Pass. Please contact Accessibility Services for more information.

Apply for an exemption for one or both of these fees for [field_1696435048985_48], by dateFormat([field_1696435627218_66],'mmmm d, yyyy') using this form. Be sure to provide any supporting documentation. Requests will be processed after dateFormat([field_1696435666974_68],'mmmm d, yyyy'). Credits for successful requests will be added your account within six to eight weeks of request processing.
