Peer Mentorship Program
Mentor Application Form
Welcome
Boost your leadership skills and help a new student adjust to life on campus. Support student success by referring your mentee to useful resources, encouraging them to get involved, and providing guidance on how to succeed at SAIT.
The Peer Mentorship Program is offered during the Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters to students who attend a full-time, day-time credit diploma or degree program. At this time, we are unable to offer Peer Mentorship to students attending certificate, fast-track, open studies, pre-employment or apprenticeship programs.
Peer Mentors must be in the second year or higher of their program of study and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better.
NOTE: Please only submit your registration once. You will be contacted at the beginning of the semester after matches have been finalized.
As a Peer Mentor, you will:
enhance your self-awareness through positive role modelling
put your engaging communication techniques and critical-thinking abilities into practice
build relationships along with your interpersonal skills
contribute to a great campus culture
improve your career profile and gain credit for your
co-curricular record
