The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s (NSERC) Science Odyssey, in partnership with Science Rendezvous, will be going virtual for the 2021 event year.

Science Rendezvous is an annual celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) that takes place across Canada in the format of a free family festival to promote STEAM to people of all ages. Science Rendezvous is Canada’s largest celebration from coast to coast to coast. In 2019, there were more than 215,000 participants over this one-day festival across Canada!

To launch Science Rendezvous on May 8, 2021, Canada’s top research institutes, including SAIT, are collaborating to bring people of all ages together virtually for a signature, national Science Chase (SC). Participants will compete with people from all over the country to complete fun and informative challenges at event sites that centre on this year’s theme, ‘STEAM Green’. Each participant will have opportunities to win prizes along the way and ultimately become a Science Chase champion.

What better way to ‘explore’ Canada while learning more about STEAM than by participating in a virtual science chase? This FREE kick-off event for Science Odyssey week will be the most fun your family will have with science all year!
